It's a new year which means it's time to make some new memories! If you're anything like me you like to hold on to small things that remind you of memorable events throughout the year. I used to throw all of those things in a large box and forget about them in a matter of months. Two years ago, however, I decided to keep a memory jar. A medium sized jar designed only for that year's memories. Ticket stubs, invitations, save the dates,baby announcements, any little memorable items I felt a small attachment to finds its home in my jar. I try to limit myself to only filling the jar which helps me better determine what items I really want to hold on to. I bought my jars from IKEA. I keep the current year's jar out in the open and the past year's jars on a higher shelf. Here are my 2012 and 2013 jars. And it's time to start adding to the 2014 jar!
